Vote for Kevin Boggs for Council
Kevin Boggs loves East Tulsa.
That’s one of his main motivations for running for the District 6 city council seat, which is in the heart of East Tulsa.
Boggs feels his district has been under-represented for two years by Dennis Troyer. Troyer has supported Mayor Kathy Taylor in lockstep, placing her approval of him over the best interests of the district.
There’s a lot of work to be done in East Tulsa.
Boggs wants subdivisions with larger houses to match the nice homes with big lots already there. East Tulsa has a huge inventory of starter homes. Bigger homes bring retailers who help fund city services.
Boggs wants improvements along Route 66 (11th Street) in East Tulsa. Every year, hundreds of out-of-state visitors come down Route 66 but there’s no reason to stop in Tulsa.
Vision 2025 had funding for Route 66 but what little has been spent was wasted in Downtown Tulsa.
Boggs, unlike Taylor and Troyer, will oppose tax increases. Taylor wants to hike utility bills, sales tax and property taxes. Her economic policies, which are fully supported by Troyer, are headed toward financial ruin.
Boggs is a fine Christian man. He loves his wife and family. He is involved in his community. Boggs is not tied to special interests.
His heart lies in East Tulsa.
Boggs will not let Taylor expand the size and cost of city government without a fight. He will push for accountability in the Public Works and other city departments.
He will fight for full funding for police and firemen.
Boggs is the best choice in District. He has the full endorsement of the Tulsa Beacon.
