One of the keys to the November 6 mid-term election is for Republicans to retain control of the U.S. House and Senate.

Forecasts has swayed widely when it comes to predicting what will happen. Many are forecasting a “blue wave” in which Democrats take over the both houses of Congress.

That would be bad news for President Donald Trump and his conservative agenda. Trump has accomplished a lot in less than two years and the Democrats would love to derail America’s progress by launching a host of bogus investigations and starting impeachment against Trump. If Trump were impeached in the House, the Senate would never remove him because it takes a two-thirds vote and Republicans senators wouldn’t allow it.

But the problem is that Democrats are obstructionists and they want to stop Trump – and the American people – from having any sort of legislative or judicial victories.

Oklahoma needs to elect five Republicans – flawed as they might be – to the House.

And after 16 years of liberal Democrat Brad Henry and liberal Republican Mary Fallin, it is time for a sea change at the Capitol. Dirty politics has gutted the conservative caucus in the House and Oklahoma needs a governor who will adhere to the Republican platform.

Liberal Democrat Drew Edmondson would be a throwback to 100 years of limited progress under the Democrat regimes.

Republican Kevin Stitt is by far the best hope for better times in Oklahoma.
