Big 12 basketball teams are part of ESPN’s Big Monday program

The Big 12 Conference has announced its schedule of games on ESPN’s Big Monday platform for the 2010 season, and Oklahoma will be featured in three of the eight matchups.
The Sooners will play the season’s first Big Monday game Jan. 11 when it hosts Oklahoma State at Lloyd Noble Center.  Oklahoma has won seven of the last eight regular season meetings against the Cowboys and eight of the last 10, including an 89-81 Big Monday decision in Stillwater last year.
OU’s other two appearances will come the final two weeks of the regular season - Feb. 22 at Kansas and March 1 at Texas.
Oklahoma State was chosen for a pair of ESPN Big Monday contests.
Three weeks after the Bedlam match, OSU will host Texas inside Gallagher-Iba Arena on Feb. 1. The Cowboys are coming off a 23-12 mark last season that included a run to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in their first season under head coach Travis Ford.
OSU recently announced its non-conference schedule and the remainder of its conference slate will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The other Big Monday games will feature Texas at Kansas State (Jan. 18), Missouri at Kansas (Jan. 25), Kansas at Texas (Feb. 8) and Kansas at Texas A&M (Feb. 15).
All game times are scheduled for 8 p.m.
The Big 12 will boast seven of 10 members from the All-Big 12 First and Second Teams back in 2009-10.
Nine of the league’s top 13 scorers return, with nine of 12 squads overall having at least 50 percent of their scoring back from a year ago.
Several top newcomers and transfers will also join the conference, including 21 of the top 90 players from the ESPNU/Scouts Inc. recruiting rankings.
The full composite conference schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
