Freedom of speech and Obamacare

Liberals don’t want ordinary citizens to have a voice in the debate over socialized medicine, or Obamacare.
In town hall meetings across the country, Americans are demanding answers as to why their elected representatives would vote for a trillion-dollar plan that turns health care management over to Washington bureaucrats.
Liberal Democrats, the same ones who hire people to protest, are criticizing this outpouring of public sentiment.
They are accusing the Republican Party of organizing an uprising to defeat Obamacare to embarrass the president.
That’s laughable.
First, the Republicans aren’t that organized. And in many places around the country, they are out of touch with the grassroots.
Secondly, people are angry because President Obama wants to take over healthcare (like he did General Motors) with a gigantic bill (that no one read) that he tried to ram through Congress in a matter of days.
Thank goodness this monstrosity wasn’t passed before the August recess.
Americans don’t want a bureaucrat deciding their medical treatment. Americans don’t want care rationed to older people and those who are incapacitated.
Americans don’t want their taxes to pay for abortions.
Americans have the best health care in the world. People come from all over to get treatment here. We have the best doctors and nurses and the sharpest innovators.
Americans want healthcare based on compassion, not secularism.
Most of all, Americans want freedom to choose. And they want elected officials who will listen and make decisions based on what is best for the people, not themselves.
When Congress reconvenes, members should return and say, “The people have spoken. I vote against Obamacare.”
