Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee and their leftist minions want to stop acceptance of the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh through mob rule.

It’s the same tactic that hired protestors use when a conservative speaker comes to campus.

For the past 15 Senate confirmation hearings for the U.S. Supreme Court, there was marked disagreement but an orderly set of hearings.

Thanks to the Democrats, being civil is out the window. Their hatred of Donald Trump is so severe that they are ready to do anything to make Trump and the nation fail.

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-California, interrupted the opening remarks by Committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley. She was too rude to wait for her chance to speak.

Then the rowdy chorus of interruptions included Sen. Cory Booker, D-New Jersey; Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-Rhode Island; Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Connecticut; Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois and Sen. Diane Feinstein, D-California. If they were the majority party, they wouldn’t stand for such interruptions.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, summed it up when he said, “This is the first confirmation hearing subject to mob rule.”

It took 75 minutes for Grassley to deliver his opening remarks. There were 63 interruptions before lunch. More than two dozen protesters in the crowd were arrested.

What the Democrats really want is to stop any judicial nomination from Trump. They do not want any challenge to liberal law making – especially when it comes to overturning Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion on demand nationally.

Perhaps the Democrats are clinging to the false hope that they can regain control of the Senate in the November election. The numbers aren’t there.

Let’s hope that the American public is watching this shameful demonstration from Senate Democrats and they pay the price at the polls.
