Oklahoma House Speaker Chris Benge should be impeached for elder abuse.

His opposition to limiting increases in my property valuations is too much for this old grandma to take.

My property taxes go up 5 percent every year.

Also going up are:

1. My Medicare health insurance

2. My prescription drug insurance

3. My AARP supplemental insurance

4. My GRDA electric bill

5. My groceries

6. My gasoline.

And, I didn’t get a raise in Social Security.

So, how does Speaker Benge think I can make ends meet on a fixed income?

Oh, I forgot, Benge only listens to lobbyists for fat cats.

We po’ folks have no lobbyists to treat him like a little king.

Get rid of Cox Channel 24

In view of the many ways of trying to save the city’s money, has anyone thought about the 24 hour TV? What is the cost of Channel 24 on Cox’s expanded basic channel? Why is it necessary? Where is the news worthiness?

I do not feel we get much from the weather that every other local channel gives, the golf courses, the boring city councilors’ meetings (though they are seldom consulted in any decision making), and all the other boring things to fill up the 24 hour channel. The cost must be exorbitant.

If this TV channel was eliminated, it could possibly cover the cost of the police, firemen and the schools they claim are so in debt.

Is this TV channel required by the government which is becoming not a government of the people or by the people or for the people but a dictatorship? It is not a two-party system. The Republicans have not been included in the closed sessions that the Democrats have been having. There are no reporters - just a one man fiasco. Or is it?

How many other of our enemies are calling the shots and President Obama is just reading from the prompters?

Channel 24 (expanded Basic) is just another of the many ways of reducing us to a third world country.

Let’s wake up, Tulsa! Wake up, America! Do we have the fortitude to do what our pioneers did at the Boston Tea party and to England? This change had long been in the making by some of our enemies that have wanted to eradicate the Jews and the USA from the map.

Does anyone know just how much it costs to have a 24 hour television station? It would be interesting to know and use that money for the police and firemen that are losing their jobs.

Everywhere you look you see the changes already in the making.

To stop this waste would be like finding a gold mine.
