Obama’s health care tax scheme
Remember when President Obama promised he would not raise taxes on most Americans?
Don’t count on it.
Starting in 2012, Americans will start reporting on the amount of health insurance premiums paid by employers.
That’s right. If your employer pays $500 a month or $1,000 a month for health insurance for an employee, that will be reflected as taxable income on the W-2 tax form for 2011.
The same goes for retirees and those on fixed incomes.
Americans may be required to pay a large amount of tax on money they have never seen or spent. This is a prelude to a huge tax increase. If you want to gauge the impact, try adding $15,000 to $20,000 to your taxable income on last year’s tax return. It could push millions into a higher tax bracket.
Obamacare “requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employee’s gross income.”
It will cost you thousands of dollars in a future tax increase being planned by the Democrat-controlled Congress and Obama.
And the worst part is that more tax increases are on the way as Obama leads the country into a fiscal abyss on the road to socialism. We need to stop federal overspending, cut taxes and reform our federal government. That won’t occur in this administration. Voters need to throw out congressional incumbents and replace them with citizens who understand that the Founding Fathers did their best to protect the people from an oppressive federal system.
We will all get a vivid example of that oppression on our paycheck stubs in 2011.
Defunding abstinence education
The federal government wants to teach our children about all kinds of sex - normal and abnormal - and indoctrinate them at the earliest age possible apart from the counsel of parents, particularly conservative Christian parents.
A progressive sex-education group’s goal to “teach medically accurate, age-appropriate, comprehensive sexuality education for all school-age youth” is a smashing success, according to the group’s latest report.
Comprehensive means detailed information about contraception, sexual techniques and social acceptance of homosexuality as an equal alternative to marriage and heterosexuality.
The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) released its “7th Annual State Profiles” report on “comprehensive” sex education laws and policies in public schools to that of abstinence-only efforts.
According to the report, “After nearly 30 years of strong support from the federal government for abstinence-only-until-marriage programs, the Obama administration and Congress have ushered in a new era of sex education in this country, eliminating two-thirds of federal funding for ineffective abstinence-only-until-marriage programs and providing funding for evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention and comprehensive sex education initiatives totaling nearly $190 million.”
President Obama said during the presidential campaign that he “firmly oppose(d) federal funding for abstinence-only-until-marriage programs” and has affirmed “age-appropriate, comprehensive sex education for all students.”
The report claims abstinence training has no place in America and should be replaced with “progressive social legislation” rather than “social tradition,” which indicates sex should be limited to married couples.
So, in other words, don’t ever tell a child they should abstain from sex for religious, moral or health reasons. Children will engage in sex whenever they want and it is pointless to tell them it is wrong or can harm their health.
The report concludes, “We are not yet there, but we have shown that we are on the right track and our strategies are working; and, if the Obama administration continues to be serious about science and evidence, eschewing the ideological advances of a desperate minority, then abstinence-only-until-marriage programs can be truly eliminated and comprehensive approaches to sex education allowed to flourish.”
God help America if these people stay in charge past Nov. 2.
More expansion of gambling
Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., chairman of the House Financial Services Committee and an outspoken homosexual, is working hard to overturn a 2006 law that criminalizes Internet gambling.
Frank wants to tax the proceeds and grow the federal and state governments. Frank has held hearings on the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act and its companion bill, Internet Gambling Regulation and Tax Enforcement Act of 2010.
The Democrats have sufficient votes to pass each bill.
The bills represent the most aggressive expansion of gambling in American history.
The instant accessibility and anonymity of Internet gambling sites will only accelerate addiction and increase the negative social and fiscal costs imposed on U.S. citizens, families and nonprofits. Research shows gambling is already the fastest growing addiction among the Millennial generation.
Congress voted four years ago to pass the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) to combat, not encourage, these costs.
Barney Frank is guiding the moral compass on the nation.
God help America if these people stay in charge past Nov. 2.
