Kansas and Missouri have renewed their football series. They stopped playing football when Missouri bolted from the Big 12 to join the Southeastern Conference.

They have agreed to a four-game series starting in September of 2025. The Kansas/Missouri rivalry, the fourth longest in college football, started in 1981. Kansas and Missouri also announced a six-game series in basketball, starting next season. That includes two home games for each team and two games in Kansas City, Missouri.

Missouri leads the series between the two schools but Kansas believes it’s 56-55-9 in favor of the Tigers, while Missouri believes it’s 57-54-9, after the Jayhawks had to forfeit their win in 1960. The Tigers won the last game at Arrowhead Stadium on November 25, 2011.
