Thanks to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Oklahoma may not play Army this year.

Cuomo, a liberal Democrat, ordered that fall college sports in New York won’t have fans in attendance. He ordered no fans for the Buffalo Bills in the NFL.

(That doesn’t affect the New York Giants and New York Jets who play in New Jersey).

OU is scheduled to play in West Point, New York, versus Army on September 26. Cuomo has set travel restrictions for other states, including Oklahoma, that would require travelers to quarantine for two weeks upon entering New York. OU barely beat Army in Norman in 2018.

OU might be able to schedule one of the teams that lost a September 26 game against members of the Pac-12 or Big Ten conferences, who have chosen to play only conference games this fall. The possibilities include BYU, Cincinnati, Northern Illinois, Connecticut, Miami or Boston College.
