State students did well on SAT tests

Although only 4.5 percent of Oklahoma's high school graduating class of 2014 took the SAT college-readiness test, the overwhelming majority of those 1,725 students performed well. Sixty-nine percent met the college benchmark score of 1550.

Mounds Turkey Shoot in November

The Mounds Turkey Shoot will be held November 1 and 2, November 8 and 9 and November 15 and 16.  The time for the shoot is from noon to 5 p.m. each day.  Earlier start time determined when the first line is filled. 

State infant mortality rate declines

Oklahoma's Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is decreasing, but infants dying from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) still ranks in the top three causes of infant death, according to public health officials at the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH).
