Sen. Brogdon spoke at Freedom21

Sen. Randy Brogdon was recently a featured speaker at the Ninth Annual Freedom21 National Conference in Dallas.

He and other experts - including Amanda Teegarden of Tulsa -  discussed national and international programs that pose a risk to states’ rights and individual freedoms.

Brogdon addressed his concerns about the Trans-Texas Corridor, the first leg of the NAFTA Super Highway.

“It’s already under construction in Texas, but the plan is to take it all the way through Oklahoma and northward to Canada,” said Brogdon, R-Owasso.

“Hundreds of thousands of acres of family farmland and ranches are going to be taken in Texas alone. It’s a huge erosion of individual property rights in this country, and many people don’t even realize this is happening.  I believe it also poses a huge threat to our homeland security.”

Among the other keynote speakers were Eagle Forum founder, Phyllis Shafly, and Dr. Jerome Corsi, an expert on political violence and terrorism.

In addition to discussions on TTC, the presenters also covered topics such as national security and personal privacy issues.

“The freedoms Americans hold dear face serious peril if we do not safeguard the rights of individuals, of our state governments, and the sovereignty of our nation,” Brogdon said.  “I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to speak out against initiatives that would erode our fundamental rights as American citizens.”
