U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla. will speak on fiscal responsibility during the Republican National Convention Sept. 2.

“Dr. Coburn was invited to speak early in the process but wasn’t listed on the initial schedule because he was working to resolve scheduling conflicts surrounding a family wedding,” said John Hart, Coburn’s communications director. “Although the program has not been finalized, his remarks will likely focus on earmarks, wasteful spending and the need for real reform in Washington.”

The GOP Convention will be Sept. 1-4 in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.
